Finally got a chance to jump on the computer, after a very busy weekend (but busy in a good way).
Thanks to everyone who came out on Friday night, I hope you all had a good time like I did. I sampled quite a few of the brews that the Feral establishment had on offer and they were pretty good. Was certainly good to meet you all in person and put some faces to the names and characters Weren't any two headed women about to set Vision up with out that way No pics, I should have taken some before I had too much to drink and forgot... Thanks again to Yowie for driving me around too. What else did I get up to over the weekend in Perth. Well, on Saturday I went on a wine tour with some one I knew from Canberra who moved back to Perth. So, was busing it around the Swan Valley and tasting what they had on offer. Did actually get pretty close to the Feral brewery, went past a sign which said "Feral Brewery 150m <". After that, went back to my friend's place with a bunch of people. Had something to eat and had a few more drinks, then went out in the city (North Bridge). Went to "The Shed", wasn't a bad venue and hung out there for a while. Then walked around quite a bit and waited in the big taxi rank. Sunday morning, got up after crashing at my friend's place and went to the train station. Got into the city and walked down to the foreshore (north side) and then went for a trek east across the Swan River to get onto the south bank. That was a big walk, quite a few kilometers in that one (lucky you didn't come with Krissy). Eventually met up with my sister and watched the Red Bull Air Race from the south bank of the Swan River. Which was closer to the racing track and that was very good. Then went to the Little Creatures micro brewery on Sunday afternoon, for a bit of a Sunday session with my sister and an old family friend we hadn't seen in many years. Will probably post some general photos of Perth I took once I get home to Canberra. Thanks again to the Perth DFW peeps for a good Friday night. |

If someone else has got some pics, then go for it. Oh yeah, I did take 2 pics in Yowie's car on the way back to the train station. While Vision and the other guys were in the car next to us at the traffic lights. Flashed Yowie good
Haven't looked at them, but I doubt they would be any good. Fair enough, they don't really rate for practicality. Pedal bikes would have been awesome though, quite a few people had them and that would have made it so much easier. |
